Ms. Zenna Lane passed on March 4, 2012 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Danbury Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with Elder Harold Nichols bringing words of comfort.
Zenna was born on April 23, 1929 to the late John Early Lane and Lillie Lawson Lane in Reidsville, NC. She attended Booker T. Washington High School and Rockingham Community College.
Zenna worked for the American Tobacco Company's redrive plant, and later worked for Morgan & Son Poultry Plant, Greensboro, NC
Zenna was a member of Danbury Primitive Baptist Church. She was an active member of the NAACP, a member of the Flower Club,in Eden, NC and a member of the ladies Auxillary, unit 199.
Zenna was a great cook and she had a green thumb for making flowers, come to life.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters; Vanessa Lane, Jennifer Casey (Kevin), Reidsville, NC, brothers; Dewey Lane, Melvin Lane, Willie Lane (Verdell), John Henry Lane (Susie), grandchildren; Ronald Wilson Jr., Antonio Wilson,
Anthony Lane, Ricky Hairston Jr., Veniaminof Hairston, Rita Hairston, great grandchildren; Kashus Galloway, Jomia Wilson, Janiyas Lane, Der'eon Broadnax and a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday from 12:30-7:00 P.M. at McLaurin Funeral Home.
