Miss Wilsie Mitchell passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014. She was born April 20, 1919 in Rockingham County. Wilsie was the daughter of the late Walter Luke Mitchell and Emma Womack Mitchell.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Jackson United Methodist Church, Brown Summit, North Carolina with Pastor Ronnie D. Cooper bringing the eulogy and burial following in Elm Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Reidsville, North Carolina. There will be a visitation from 2:30-3:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Wilsie was educated in the Rockingham County School System. She was a quiet woman and a lived a simple life. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.

Along with her parents, Wilsie was also preceded in death by nine brothers and two sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories, brother; Norman Mitchell (Frances), Elon, North Carolina, brother-in-law; James W. Herbin, sisters-in-law; Wylene Mitchell, Reidsville, North Carolina, Anna Mitchell, Greensboro, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews. Special thanks to her devoted nieces Darlene Herbin and Debra Herbin for their care and devotion.
