The true and full measure of a man is found in the God he worships...the work he chooses... the company he keeps...the lives he touches...and the memories he leaves.  By these noble standards affixed in the consciousness of others, William Curtis Pass was a sun-crowned man – whose stature and spirit case an imposing shadow in direction of the mountain top. Thus, this son of Denise Pass Simpson and William Curtis Price, Jr., this man of God, this talented coach and athlete, this visionary leader and this servant of the people moved with purpose, character and accomplishment.  And in doing so, he was loved.
Born on September 26, 1977 in Reidsville, North Carolina, he attended the local public schools and was a 1995 graduate of Reidsville High School. He matriculated at Spartanburg Methodist College, Old Dominion University and University of West Georgia.  He excelled in academics and athletics. Having exceptional talent and skill in basketball, he was a stellar player for Reidsville High School and averaged 23.5 points a game in his Senior year at West Georgia University.  He was recognized as an All American Player, East Division Player of the Year and his jersey was retired.  In 2005, he was inducted into the University of West Georgia Braves Hall of Fame.  And in doing so, he was loved.
A measure of God's servant, Curtis, in the pursuit, perfection and personification of his calling and duty for Christ, was the scope of his vision. As a member of Benaja Mount Zion Holiness Church of God, he actively participated as President of the Men's Fellowship, member of the Transportation Ministry and Vacation Bible School Recreation Leader.  His influence and leadership, truly made an impacting presence at his church.  And in doing so, he was loved.
The love of children influenced his choice of a profession. He was the present Head Coach for the Reidsville High School Men's Basketball Team, former Head Coach for Reidsville Raiders Boy's Basketball, former AAU Basketball Coach, Reidsville High Cross Country Head Coach, Reidsville High Track Head Coach and Drivers Education Instructor. He was previously employed by R. H. Barringer Distribution Company and McLaurin Funeral Home.  He strived in sharing his talents, life experiences and guiding the students in being successful and productive citizens. And in doing so, he was loved.
The love of family, which was the center of his life. Curtis and Ni-Kia were married on February 26, 2000 and from this union two children were born, Bria and Breon.  He was a great husband, father, son, relative and friend. Having a great sense of humor, he enjoyed spending time with his family, church members and the community, impacting the lives of many. He received satisfaction in mentoring his basketball players, students and other youth.  And in doing so, he was loved.
On June 21, 2019, our beloved "Stink", "Coach Pass", "CP", was ushered into eternity by a compassionate God. For those who loved him dearly, those who cared for him tenderly and those who remembered him fondly, it was his triumphant victory in Jesus. To God Be The Glory, For Doing All Things Well!
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carrie and George Pass, William Sanford and Alberta Walker and McKenzie and Thelma Bell.
The remembrance of shared moments bring comfort and peace to surviving relatives: wife of 19 years, Nikia Pass; children, Bria and Breon; mother, Denise Pass Simpson (Timothy); father, William Curtis Pass, Jr. ; brothers, Thomas Pass (Jeneen) and Jaedon Price and special cousin/brother Anthony Pass; mother and father-in-law, Clarence and Marilyn Bell; brother-in-law, Steven Bell; grandparents, William Curtis Price, Sr. (Lucille); nieces, Morgan Pass and Aliyah Poole; nephew, Antuan Cannady; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, students, players, neighbors and friends. ...And, he is loved still.
