REIDSVILLE, NC - Mr. William Bailey Mims, age 81, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Public viewing will begin on Sunday, April 5, 2026 from 1 until 5 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2026 from the New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church, 8939 US Hwy 158 W., Ruffin, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m. Reverend Tommy Williamson will officiate and Pastor E. Lamar Boykin, eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in the New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Ruffin, NC.

Mr. William B. Mims was born on April 10, 1944 and passed away March 30, 2026 at Moses Cone Hospital.

William was a native of Caswell County, NC and was the son of the late Willie Henry and Drew G. Mims.

William was baptized at an early age and was a member of New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church.

William worked at Big Apple Grocery and later at Equity Meats until retirement.

In his spare-time, he loved to fish.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by great-grandson, Braylen Schine; siblings, Denise Withers, Earl Mims, Eddie Frank Mims and James Henry Mims.

He is survived by his loving wife, Clarinda J. Mims; daughter, Tammy L. Mims Womack (Melvin); sons, Kenneth B. Mims and Shaun J. Mims (Glenda); grandchildren, Melanie Schine (Brandon), Kenneth D'Quan Mims Jr., Kameron Mims, Tyrese Womack (Olivia), Jaden Broadnax, Kayden Mims; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Blackwell, Beatrice Graves (Roy); brother, Kenneth Mims.

While he was going through his sickness, he never complained. He always said "I'm Fine"
