GIBSONVILLE - Mr. William McKinley Martin, Sr., age 64, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Yanceyville Rehabilitation & Healthcare Cente r.

Public viewing will begin on Monday, September 2, 2024 from 12 until 4 p.m at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Browns Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 461 Browns Chapel Road, Gibsonville, NC. The visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Pastor, Reverend Dr. Frankie T. Jones, Sr., officiating.

The committal and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

William was born on January 9, 1960 in Rockingham County, NC to Zack Turner Martin and Beulah Davis Martin.

He was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Reidsville High School class of 1979.

For many years he worked at Darado Foods as a forklift driver.

William enjoyed life and was a jokester. Even during sad times, he saw the lighter side of things. He loved his family and grandchildren. William was a antique car fanatic and loved working on old cars and trucks.

Survivors include wife, Delsia Martin of the home; daughters, Angel Martin of Greensboro, NC and Candace Fuller (Danny) of Elon, NC; son, William Martin, Jr., (Sierra) of Reidsville, NC; brother, Zack Martin (Jackie) of Reidsville, NC; sisters, Angela Martin, Linda Martin (Chris) and Cheryl Martin all of Reidsville, NC; 11 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Katina Thompson; sister, Sharon King; newphew, Maurice Hairston; grandson, ZaYheirr Martin.
