Obituary

William Galloway died Monday, May 30, 2016 at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Christian View Center with a visitation 2:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery.

William Evans Galloway Sr., a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather departed this life on Monday May 30, 2016.

William was born on April 10, 1940 to the late Elijah and Alice Galloway. He attended Lincoln Elementary School and Booker T. Washington High School. William worked as a farmer before being employed by American Tobacco Company. He was also a Truck Driver and worked for various trucking companies, such as Branch Motor-line and Burton Trucking.
He ended his working career with Sam Gilliespe Masonary Company.

William was a member of Little Salem Christian Church where he sang in the choir and with the Galloway Family Singers. Later in life he united with Garrett's Grove United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by one son, Reginald Galloway, three brothers; John C. Galloway Sr., Elijah M. Galloway Jr., George Galloway,(wife, Barbra W. Galloway and granddaughter, Stephani Galloway.

William leaves to cherish his memory, son; William E. Galloway "Magoo", Gregory Galloway (Sharon), Leon Galloway, Joel Galloway (Samira), Kenneth L. Galloway (Kimberly), daughters; Kimberly N. Galloway "Lucy", Mary Mitchell, nineteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, brothers; Rev. Franklin Galloway (Martha), Otis Galloway (Betty), James E. Dickerson (Wyvonne), David
H. Galloway (Della), sisters; Mae Allice Cannon (Levi), Rosetta Carter (Lorenza), sister-in-law, Lucille Galloway, a loving wife of thirty-five years, Betsy Galloway "Rae", and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. A special thanks to Mrs. Annie Clark.
