William Cecil Donnell Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. William Cecil Donnell, Jr., departed this life on Saturday, September 7, 2013.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Fruit of the Spirit Holiness Church, 1401 S. Elm Eugene St., Greensboro, NC. There will be a viewing 12:00-1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
William received his early education in the Public Schools of Greensboro, North Carolina and was a graduate of the School of Business Administration of A&T College. He was a proud Veteran of World War II, serving with the 92nd Infantry Division and received an Honorable Discharge from Service as First Lieutenant. He was a graduate of the National Training School for Professional Leaders in Scouting, and served as the District Executive in the Cherokee Council for twenty years. After leaving scouting, he was employed by Alamance County and retired fourteen years later in 1989. Later the same year, he was employed by Alamance Community College as Coordinator for Job Training. After leaving public employment in 1992, he worked independently in real estate and life insurance.
He is survived by his loving children, a host of relatives and special friends.
