Reidsville: William Hassell Badgett was born on December 9, 1932 to the late Geneva Mitchell Badgett and the late John Henry Badgett in Ruffin North Carolina. William entered into internal rest and went home to be with his Lord and Savior and join his wife Edith in Heaven on November 8, 2015 at the Penn Nursing Center in Reidsville North Carolina.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 13, 2015 at Jones Chapel Baptist Church with a visitation 1:30 P.M.-2:00 P.M. prior to the service and burial will follow in the Jones Chapel Church Cemetery.

Including his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Edith Francis Dabbs Badgett, Brother John Badgett "Mack" and Sister Geneva Mitchell Badgett Covington.

Billie was a devoted member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Reidsville NC, and a long time member of Lone Star Masonic Lodge No: 33 P.H.A Reidsville, NC

Billie leaves to cherish his special memories, his children; Eric Badgett (April) Greensboro NC, Elaine Brooks, Dale Simpson, and David Lee Simpson Jr II Charlotte NC, Gentry Brown (Charlene) Lake Mary FL, William Slade (Diane) Jonesboro GA, Sister; Wilma Badgett Reidsville NC. Brother; Robert Badgett Reidsville NC. Sister-in-law; Ella Mae Neal of Philadelphia PA, Brother-in-law; Charles Dabbs Baltimore MD and one special cousin, Marian Inez Williamson; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Public viewing is Thursday, 12:00 noon -7:00 P.M.
