EDEN, NC - Mrs. Vickie Ann Hairston, age 64, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Warren Nursing & Rehab in Warren, Ohio.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025 from the Greater Shining Light Holiness Church, 408 Guilford Street, Reidsville, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m.

The committal and interment will follow in Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelham, NC.

Vickie Ann Hairston was born in Rockingham County on July 12, 1961 to Ernest & Ruth Ann Hairston.

She was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Rockingham County Senior High School and later attended Rockingham Community College majoring in cosmetology.

For many years she was employed at Fieldcrest Mills and later worked at Annie Penn Hospital. She also worked for the Salvation Army.

At an early age, she joined the Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham NC, and later joined Greater Shining Light Holiness Church in Reidsville, NC. Vickie was a faithful member of Greater Shining Light Holiness Church even when her health declined, she attended church when she could. She loved her church and enjoyed listening to gospel music.

Vickie was a caring person and enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews. In her spare-time, she loved watching wrestling.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Hairston; brother, Ernest Hairston, Jr.; sister, Cheryl Galloway.

Survivors include mother, Ruth Ann Hairston; sister, Wanda Griggs (Donald); niece, Donna Covington (Craig); nephews, John Galloway (Diane), Ronald Galloway, Tyrone Galloway (Tina), Quentin Galloway and Cordney Griggs; special friends, Linda Farmer and Mary Lyons; a host of great-nieces/nephews, great-great nieces/nephews, relatives and friends.
