Veronica Sudette Broadnax, died on November 14, 2015.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 20, 2015 at McLaurin Memorial Chapel with a visitation 1:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
On May 14, 1985 Veronica S. Broadnax was born at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville NC, to the parents of Monica L. Moore and Charles Broadnax.
Veronica attended Smith High School but proceeded to finish her education at Rockingham County Community College. Then earning her Certified Nursing Assistance license serving as a nursing assistant for five years in her community.
While living in Reidsville she was known as Rahni a very loving , sociable and quick to lend a hand to anyone that needed it . To her family and friends many would remember her as the loving mother, compassionate, caring and always the life of the party. She was a queen that held the crown of her five sons that she dearly loved and always called them her five kings and made sure that no matter what obstacles that life may have brought her way she stilled loved them. In a poem written by Maya Angelou ," Still I rise" would describe the mannerable essence of what a strong woman was and that solely meant that even with imperfection she still arose from her challenges.
She was called home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2015, gaining the wings to fly above the heavens. She was preceded in death by; two great grandmothers, Mary B Barnette and Fannie Mae Broadnax and her mother Monica L. Moore,
She leaves behind her legacy of five kings; Javian Brown, Johnas, Eli, Capri and Abdullah Mitchell and her long time love Johnny Mitchell, two sisters Kendra Bridges and Aerica Barnette, three brothers Romeo Bridges, Jamie and Mario Moore. Her long time guardians, Connelly and Mary Poole "memaw & papa". Her grandfather William Barnette "papa" and a host of aunts, uncles and nieces, nephews and cousins that will dearly miss her.
Public viewing will be Thursday from 12:00 noon - 7:00 P.M.
