TSgt. William Nash Meadors, USAF Ret., 93, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, 3360 Guerrant Springs Road, Ruffin, North Carolina. The family visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Pastor, Elder John W. France will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Leaksville NC (now Eden) on September 1, 1929 to Irene Meadors Dixon.

Mr. Meadors served his country faithfully with the US Army and later retired from the US Air Force as a Technical Sergeant.

He was a free mason and a father to many. For many years he taught Sunday school and was a part of the Baptist Training Union. Furthermore, he was a Deacon at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Tampa Florida. Upon relocating back to Ruffin, NC he joined the Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife of 67 years, Eva Tucker Meadors; son, William Meadors and wife Marjoie; daughter, Cheryl Meadors and husband Lewis C. Griffin; grandchildren, Evarra Meadors Evans and husband Darius, William Meadors II, Brittney Meadors, Nicole Meister, Jason Bryant and wife Taunshae and Lewis Griffin Jr. and wife Evalean; great-grandchildren, Augustus Gow, Uri Evans, Elliott and Spencer; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
