On Friday, January 17, 2014, Msgt. Todd So-Rare Harrelson was called on to God's Glory.
Msgt. Todd So-Rare Harrelson Sr. was born in the District of Columbia, March 1, 1965 to Minnie Harrelson Ratliff and Theodore Baskins.
Msgt.Todd So-Rare Harrelson Sr. graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School in Yanceyville NC and entered in the United States Marine Corps. Todd made a very nice career for himself in the Marine Corps and retired active duty after 23 years of dedicated service. Msgt. Todd Harrelson and his family lived in many different places during his time in the Marine Corps.
Todd enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, traveling, dancing, and cooking. He also loved watching war and martial arts movies.
Todd was loved by many, always the life of any party, had a laugh like no other that could be easily identified. He was a free spirit, a very generous hearted man who never knew a stranger. The family would always say that Todd could make a dog talk and sell eyeglasses to a blind man. His children were his pride and joy, both of his daughters truly have his personality and his son followed in his footsteps by entering into the military. Although Todd was the nephew, he often took on the role of trying to be his aunts' father; he wanted to tell them what to do and how to do it. He was also very protective over all of the women in his family. Growing up in a family of majority women was made to look easy by Todd. He knew how to lighten a somber mood with comedy which shortly brought laughter. Msgt. Todd Harrelson will truly be missed by family and many friends, Todd was truly one of a kind.
