Mrs. Thelma Bell's Obituary
Mrs. Thelma Maynard Bell departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, from Annie Penn Hospital, Reidsville, NC.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 13, 2014 at Benaja Mount Zion Holiness Church Inc., 600 McWalker Rd., Reidsville, NC, with Bishop Felicia Kellam bringing the eulogy. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:00 pm prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Thelma was born October 15, 1927 in Reidsville, NC to the union of the late Jerry and Mary W. Maynard. She received her formal education in the Rockingham County School System. She married the late McKenzie Bell on February 17, 1948.
During her working career she was employed at Cone Mills and later Chase Bag Co. until her health no longer permitted. Thelma was a life-long member of Benaja Mount Zion Holiness Church where she was manager of the Gospel Choir, headed the Youth Usher Board, was a member of the Senior Choir and a Mother of the church.
The family will be gathering at the residence of Elvin and Linda Fleming at 449 Candy Creek Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.
