Terry Gore, a devoted father and loving husband to the late Patricia Diane Pointer Gore.

Born on August 13, 1959, in Loris, S.C., Terry was raised in Reidsville, N.C. He graduated from Reidsville High School in 1977 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Army. With dedication and pride, he rose to the rank of sergeant while stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. During his service, he earned numerous honors, including the Expert Badge for marksmanship with the M-16, the Expert Badge for hand grenades, the Driver Badge, and the Good Conduct Medal.

Terry was known for his infectious laugh and warm spirit. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, cooking, fishing, and watching Western movies. After a fulfilling career, he retired from Equity Group in Reidsville and remained a faithful member of Elm Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary Gore Sr. and Mary Alice Gore; his wife, Patricia Diane Pointer Gore; his brother, Gary Gore Jr. (Karen); his god-brother, Carl W. Thomas; his mother-in-law, Patricia Palmer-Pointer-Soto; his father-in-law, John D. Pointer; brothers-in-law, Michael Davis and Charles Wilson Sr.; his nephew, Seneca Gore; and his aunt, Johnnie Mae German.

Terry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Jasmine Gore Calhoun, and her husband, Derwin Calhoun; his treasured grandchildren, Aaliyah and Achilles Calhoun; his siblings, Minister Gladys Withers, Cheryl Davis (Michael), Anthony Gore Sr., Debra Gore-Wilson (Charles), and Stanley Gore; his aunt, Betty Rouse; his uncle, Emory Rouse (Diane); his brother-in-law, Angelo Soto Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Terry's life was a testament to faith, family, and love. As we celebrate his memory, we are reminded of the words from 1 John 4:16: "So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him."

His laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
