Ms. Susie Elaine Winchester went home to be with the lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. She was born on February 26, 1950 to Bernice Stokes Winchester and the late Rev. Moses Winchester.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 23, 2012 , 2:00 P.M. at Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Ruffin NC, with Rev. Burnett Winchester serving as eulogist. There will be a visitation 1:30-2:00P.M. prior to the service, and burial will follow in the Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Susie was a member of Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and loved reading her Bible. Susie often helped out in the church wherever she was needed. She also loved walking, cooking, shopping and watching her favorite shows on TV. Susie loved to laugh, and will be missed greatly.


Along with her father, Susie was preceded in death by: son; Kevin Winchester and sister; Carolyn Winchester.

She leaves to cherish her memories: son; Calvin Winchester, mother; Bernice Winchester, both of the home, brothers; Henry Winchester, Burnett Winchester (Debra), Larry Winchester, Moses Winchester, Ronnie Winchester, sister; Lisa Broadnax, special friend; Hope Withers a host of other relatives and friends.
