Sseka Settle

REIDSVILLE, NC - Ms. Sseka Philicia Settle, age 49, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at her residence.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. from the Zion Baptist Church, 807 Piedmont Street, Reidsville, NC. Pastor Marcus L. Fairley will officiate and Reverend Dr. Kevin Sturdivant will serve as eulogist.

SSEKA PHILICIA SETTLE was born on May 29, 1977 to late David Levester Settle and Paulette C. Settle. Sseka lived in New Orleans for 18 years before moving to Dallas Texas in 1999 and later moved to Reidsville N.C. in 2016.

She was a member of Grooms Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the finance and hospitality committee before joining Zion Baptist Church where she was chairman of the hospitality committee and she also help the program and culinary committee.

In Dallas she worked at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as a medical record clerk.

Once she relocated to Reidsville Sseka worked at Levolor in customer services.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are: daughter, Asha Tamara Wallace of Reidsville, NC; mother, Paulette Settle of Reidsville, NC; siblings: twin, Nneka P. Settle (Hal Sparks) of Dallas, TX and L’Tanya Settle-Charles (Rhett) of New Orleans, LA; aunts: Angela Seagle (Marcus “Squeeky”Johnson) of Reidsville, NC,Theresa Settle Troxler (Robert) of Reidsville, NC and Barbara Murrell of Reidsville, NC; uncle: William Settle of Reidsville, NC; nieces: Amari Halle Sparks of Dallas, TX and Lyncoln Sarye’ Charles of New Orleans, LA; nephews: Darius Jamari Sparks of Dallas, TX and Rhett Anthony Charles, II of New Orleans, LA; godmother: Jennifer Watlington of Reidsville, NC; god sister: Marlena Macklin of Reidsville, NC; god brother: Damon Watlington of Christiansburg, VA; special friend: Michael McAllister; a host of relatives and friends.
