Sophia Mae Petty McCain was born February 28, 1927 in Danville, Va. to the late John Davis Faulkner and Rosa Lee Faulker. Her earthly life ended Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., McLaurin Memorial Chapel, Reidsville, NC, with burial following in the Greenview Cemetery.

Sophia attended the local schools in Danville, Va. She was an at home mother and homemaker. She was such a loving mother and grandmother.
Sophia made a dedication to Jehovah God, and was baptized to become one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories: seven children; Earl Johnson, Maurice Johnson (Diane), Rose Johnson Slade (William), Pamela Johnson Moore, Rene Johnson Khan, all of Reidsville, NC, Michael Johnson and Mark Johnson of the home, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
