GREENSBORO, NC - Mr. Shawn Dale Oxendine, age 50, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Arrangements are being held privately.

Shawn Dale Oxendine was born on August 14, 1975 in Lumberton, NC to the late William and Elizabeth Oxendine. He was tragically taken from us on December 15, 2025.

Shawn was loving, charismatic, funny, compassionate and he was a hard worker. He was just a genuinely good human being that was a servant to whoever and he loved and cherished his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoe, watching sports, building things and loved being outdoors.

His early education took place in Robeson County and they relocated to Guilford County Schools, where he attended Lincoln Middle School and Dudley High School. He went on to pursue Cabinetry for over 30 years. Shawn started out at Business Interior, then Marsh Cabinets, Shaffer Cabinetry and for the past 12 years, at Gate City Kitchen and Baths.

Shawn was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thaddeus and Margaret Jones, his parents, William and Elizabeth Oxendine and his brother, Samuel Oxendine.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Cynthia Oxendine, his children, Christina and Robert, his one and only grandchild, Kaleb "JR" and his brother Kenny, his sisters-in-law, Mary, Betty and Margaret; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
