REIDSVILLE, NC - Mrs. Sharon Earline Jumper Wheeler, lovingly known as "Baby," passed away peacefully at her home in Reidsville, NC, on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
A viewing will begin on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2026 from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the service at 1 p.m. Elder Garry Fountain will serve as eulogist.
The committal and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.
All other times, the family will receive friends at the home - 270 LaLa Drive, Reidsville, NC.
She was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County and was born February 21, 1965 to the late Eugene and Earline Singleton Jumper. She was marred to the late John Sylvester Wheeler, Jr.
Sharon was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Reidsville Senior High School class of 1983. She later attended Rockingham Community College and obtained multiple certifications in home improvement. She was a entrepreneur and local business woman.
At an early age, Sharon accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at Grooms Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Sharon worked for Harland Clarke for 25 years. In her leisure time, she loved to cook and was a master baker.
Sharon was a caring person who dedicated her life to her loving husband and raising her grandchildren whom she eventually adopted. She was a very kind person and would help anyone in need.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Travis Jumper; siblings, Gwendolyn Jumper, Eugene "Skip" Jumper, Jr., and Elizabeth Jumper.
Survivors include children, JaVion Jumber and Sianna Jumper; siblings, Frances Irving, Deborah Kellam and Charles Jumper; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
