Mrs. Sharon Dianne Scales Beveridge was born on June 6, 1953 to the late Jennie Mae Scales Mitchell and Marshall L. Rucker I. She was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 28, 2020 at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Reidsville, NC with a visitation 12:30 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery. Public viewing will be 12:00 pm-7:00pm Thursday at McLaurin Funeral Home.

Sharon was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High Class of 1971. She attended the Hart School for secretaries in Pompano Beach, Florida. She was a former employee of Glen Raven as a Lab Tech and later years Rockingham Transportation Service and an Independent Tax Preparer.

At an early age Sharon gave her life to Christ and joined Zion Baptist Church. Over the years Sharon had been a member of Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church and Saint Paul United Methodist Church, before making her home at the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. She proudly held the honor of being one of the youngest Mothers of the church, supporting and volunteering in different organizations and capacities.

In her spare time, she along with her husband Norris enjoyed making their famous "Busy Bee" chowchow which was shared all over Rockingham County. Sharon also enjoyed experimenting with different dishes that she would find on the internet. She loved getting on her computer, researching and gathering some great information to share with others.

In addition to her mother and father, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband; Norris Beveridge, loving son; Carlos A. Scales and brother; Marshall Rucker II.

She leaves to cherish special memories, brothers; Russell E. Scales, Sr. (Tonia), George O. Rucker (Beverly), sister; Amy Rucker Turner, special nephew; Russell E. Scales Jr., stepsons; Anthony Beveridge (Whitley), Cliff Beveridge, Norris Beveridge Jr. (April), aunt; Glenda Blackwell, special cousin; Carol Alston, brother-in-law; John G. Penn Sr. (Margie) and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
