GREENSBORO - Mrs. Serena Lynette Hampton Dillard, age 62, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Arrangements were held privately. At the family's request, no formal services will be held.

Serena was born in Eden, NC on January 20, 1963 to Sanford and Hester Artis Hampton.

She was educated in the public schools and graduated from James Motley Morehead High School in Eden NC.

For many years, she worked at Bassett Walker and later worked as a home health aide.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Hester Hampton; brother, Stanford G. Hampton; niece, Iesha M. Roberts.

Survivors include daughters, Sophia Hampton, Satori Dillard and Dabrisha Moussa (Balla); brother, Robert Hampton; sisters, Marsha Sanders and Louise Scales; nieces, Fikisha Hampton and Shannon Hampton; grandchildren, Nazir, Jasiah, Naima, Nouhou, Hassan, Houssein and Leila; a host of relatives and friends.
