REIDSVILLE, NC - Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Keesee Wright, born December 14, 1933, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026. Throughout her 92 years, Sarah touched the lives of many with grace, kindness, and unwavering dignity.

A viewing will begin on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 12 until 7 p.m. from the McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from the Elm Grove Baptist Church, 1302 US-29 Business, Reidsville, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m. Elder Garry Fountain will serve as eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

All other times, the family will receive friends at the home - 1012 Lindsey Street, Reidsville, NC.

Sarah Elizabeth Keesee Wright was born to the late Mattie K. Brewer and Joe Nicholson. She was united in marriage to the late MaJor Wright, and together they shared many years of life and family.

Sarah was a devoted woman who found joy in serving others. She faithfully worked for Chase Bag Company for 30 years before retiring. She was a dedicated member of West End Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on the Kitchen Committee.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking, helping people throughout her community, watching professional wrestling, and cheering for her favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves. Her caring spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand touched the lives of many.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, MaJor Wright; her parents, Mattie K. Brewer and Joe Nicholson; and her children, Albert, Yolanda, Lavern, and Elder Mary K. Thomas; her grandchildren, Kaden R. Keesee, Manuel L. Fountain, and Charles C. Thurston; siblings, Bishop Alphonse Nicholson, Leo Nicholson, Leona Neal, Evelyn Henderson, and Margaret Payne.

Cherishing her memory are her children: Brenda K. Totten of Chino, California; Margaretta Fountain (Jerry), Annisa Wright of Reidsville, NC; Edna Hairston of Graham, NC; Glona McLaughlin of Danville, VA; Michael Fountain, Allen Fountain, John Fountain, Anderson Wright (Gwen) of the home; and Elder Garry Fountain (Geqirtha).

She also leaves to cherish her memory her son-in-law, Tilman Thomas; 20 grandchildren, including; 18 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Calvin Nicholson (Mae), John Brewer, Jr. (Benita), Cecil Brewer of Connecticut, Sinclair Brewer and Mark Brewer of Wisconsin; her sisters, Lena Mae Graves of Greensboro, North Carolina, Ritchette Perkins, Geneva Long, and Mae L. Long of Reidsville; along with her close and devoted friend, Ms. Lottie Benton, whom she dearly loved.

Sarah's kindness, generosity, and love for her family, church, and community will forever be remembered. Her life was a beautiful example of service, compassion, and unwavering love. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the lives she touched will continue to be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
