Obituary

Ms. Sarah Frances Harris Simpson passed on March 10, 2020 at Greenhaven Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at True Vine Tabernacle Baptist Church, Reidsville, NC with a visitation at 1:30 P.M. prior to the service and burial to follow in the Greenview Cemetery.

Sarah Frances Harris Simpson was born on July 24, 1938, to the late Robert Harris Sr . and the late Gillie Williamson Harris , one of eighteen children .  On Tuesday evening, March 10, 2020, Sarah peacefully made her

transition into life everlasting at the age of 81.

She was a faithful member of True Vine Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as a faithful usher until her health declined.  A lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, Sarah attended Booker T. Washington High School.  She was employed at Chase Bag and retired from Unifi in Reidsville, N.C.

In addition to her parents, s he is preceded in h er death by her ex-husband, John Louis Simpson; daughter, Sheila M. Simpson-Crawley; grandson, Gerard A. Simpson ; brothers, Rally, Willie Turner Sr., William " Nick " Sr. , Marsha l , Haywood Sr., Weldon, Ruby, Rufus, Thomas, Johnny, and Robert Lee Harris Jr.; and sisters, Mary Cook, and Ada Wilson .

Sarah leaves to cherish her precious memories : loving daughters, Sharon L. Simpson of Reidsville , NC, and Deborah A. McCollum , of Browns Summit , NC ; grandchildren, Sarah Alexis Simpson and Ja ń et Gay , both of Atlanta, GA, Mykel R. Simpson of Reidsville, NC, Ladoris Sarah Sanchez of Browns Summit, NC, Isaac Crawley of Alabama, and her beloved great - grandsons , Ethan J. Simpson of Atlanta, GA, and Jesse Sanchez, of Burlington, NC; her siblings , Gillie Pinnix of Reidsville, NC, Annie Carver of Burlington, NC, David Harris (Betty) of Greensboro, NC, and Eddie Joe Harris of Reidsville, NC; sister - in - law, Rachel Harris; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

McLaurin Funeral Home is serving the family.
