REIDSVILLE, NC - Deacon Samuel Lee Booze, age 67, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, NC.
A viewing will begin on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from the Charity Apostolic Church, 181 St. Mariah Road, Reidsville, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the service at 1 p.m. Bishop Ronald Corbett will serve as eulogist.
All other times, the family will receive friends at the home - 410 Hillcrest Street #5, Reidsville, NC.
Deacon Samuel Booze was born July 15, 1958 in Person County North Carolina to the late Ethel and Mathew Booze Sr. He departed his life on July 14,2026 at Annie Penn Hospital. Deacon Sammy Booze attended Caswell County Schools. Sammy loved his wife, kids and grandkids with all his heart, that was his joy. He was not a stranger to anyone he came in contact with. He was very talkative and loved telling people about Jesus. Everyone knew Booze or Sam those were his nicknames. He loved fishing and driving his truck. He served as a landscaper around the surrounding area.Deacon Sammy joined Charity Apostolic Church May 18, 2013. He served on the usher board until his health started declining and he also served on the deacon board faithfully. Sammy believed in praising God it nothing for him to hollow and shout for Jesus. He married Mother Esther Corbett Booze April 16th 2016, in which she cared and devoted her time to him until his last breath. He would often say my wife that’s wife. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Ethel & Mathew Sr, special cousin Louise Brandon Johnson, and grandson Davante Brooks.
Deacon Booze survived by his wife Mother Esther Corbett Booze; Brother Mathew Booze Jr. (Tracy); brothers-in-law, Bishop Ronald Corbett (Tina), Donald Corbett (Wendy) and Gerald (Kim); sister-in-law, Kimbrly Crosby (Danny) and Marliyn Martin; 5 children, Smantha Corbin, Leeshelle Shaw, Decarla Williams ( Arthur ), Tarlette Neal and Brandon Corbett; 13 grandchildren, Kadeshia Holloway, LaNeesyia Shaw, Zakyra Shaw, Isiah Shaw, Zyaysia Shaw, Amiya Shaw, Jamari Lester, Savannah Epps, Astashia Williams, Adrian Williams, Jeremiah Williams, Gazion Holloway and Deondre Williams; 3 great-grandgrandchildren, Alayla Adams, Ariya Coleman and Cannon Graves-Williams; father-in-law, Theotis Corbett; aunt, Joyce Mae Stewart and a host of other relatives.
