Mr. Ronnie Godfrey Harrison passed on June 27, 2019 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at McLaurin Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 12 noon with Elder Vonnie J. Harrison officiating.

Born on May 22, 1950 to Elizabeth Roach Harrison and Wylie Harrison, Sr., in Reidsville, North Carolina, Ronnie attended schools in Rockingham County and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1968.

He was a great cook and pursued a Master Chef license and attended a trade school in South Carolina for two years.  Later, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country honorably for three years.

Ronnie was a "jack-of-all-trades" and completed small jobs in the area laying brick and repairing roofs.  He was especially proud of his work as he cooked alongside Mr. Frank Hart at the "Chicken Shack".

He leaves to cherish precious memories:  sons – Ronnie Cummings and Darryl Harrison, both of Reidsville, NC; mother – Elizabeth Harrison Stokes, of Reidsville, NC; sister – Clementine H. Pickard (Robert), of Reidsville, NC; brothers – Elder Vonnie Harrison (Irish-deceased), Spencer Harrison (Jacqueline), Kenneth E. Harrison, and Jerry R. Harrison, all of Reidsville, NC, Alvis Harrison (Suzanne), of Virginia Beach, VA, Wylie J. Harrison (Teresa – deceased) and Allen W. Harrison, both of Greensboro, NC;  aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
