Mr. Robert I. Settle "Babe" died Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at McLaurin Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service.
Public viewing will be Sunday, 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Reflections
Robert Isiah Settle "Babe" son of the late Isiah Settle and Christine Settle, was born July 24, 1943. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his home.
Robert was a resident of Reidsville, NC for 73 years. Following many years of laboring, he retired from Golden Belt MFG, Reidsville, NC. Everyone knew Robert as "Babe", as he was affectionately called for his love of cars, of which he always kept super clean. In his earlier years Babe loved racing them. He always enjoyed taking his family; his wife, kids and later grandson to the races.
Babe was an associate of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by step Mom; Peggy Thomas Settle, grandparents; Tim and Hattie Payton, brother; Franklin Settle, sister; Dorthy "Puchie" Settle all of Reidsville, NC.

He leaves to cherish his memory, beloved wife of 51 years; Martha Slade Settle, sons; Robert Settle Jr., Franklin Moore Settle, grandson; Franklin Isiah Settle, great grandson; Franklin Isiah Settle Jr., all of Reidsville, NC, sisters; Philimina Settle-Huff (Reginald Huff)deceased, Columbus, Ohio, Ceclia Settle, Elder Judy Settle, Charlene Settle all of Reidsville, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
