Percy Lee Stubblefield was born June 6, 1939 in Caswell County to the late David and Erma Turner Stubblefield. He peacefully passed away on December 2, 2012.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Hubbard St., Reidsville, North Carolina with Pastor, Dr. Joseph Bryant bringing the eulogy and burial following in the Greenview Cemetery. There will be a visitation 12:30-1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Percy was married to Pauline Stubblefield for 39 1/2 years and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather "pop-pop", brother, uncle and friend. He was a man of few words who loved fishing, bowling, painting and working outdoors.
Percy was a retiree of Fieldcrest in Eden, North Carolina. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served on the Deacon Board, sang in the choir, attended Sunday School and Wednesday Night Bible Study. He was also a member of Lone Star Lodge #33 and a big Carolina Fan.
Percy was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and a sister.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife; Pauline Stubblefield, of the home, son; Arthur Thomas Barham Jr.(Mary), Holly Springs, North Carolina, daughter; Vickie Burcnette of Reidsville, North Carolina, granddaughter; Stefani Barham at UNC-C, brothers; Thomas Stubblefield (Louise), Boyd Stubblefield (Bertha), sisters; Jeanette S. Slade and Alverta S. Wilhite all of Reidsville, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
