REIDSVILLE - Ms. Pearly Mae Roach, age 87, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 at her residence.

Public viewing will begin on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 at 2 p.m. from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will take place at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Patricia Walker will preside and Bishop Bryan J. Pierce, Sr., eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in the family plot of Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

On September 20, 2025, Pearly Mae Roach left this life on earth and journeyed on to glory.

Mama Roach, as she was affectionately called by many was merely weeks away from her 88th birthday. She passed away peacefully at her home after an illness.

She attended the public schools in Reidsville and worked various jobs.

She was a longtime member of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Greensboro, NC and the first recipient of the Legacy Moments Award she received in 2017.

In addition to her mother, Mattie R. Hairston, she was preceded in death by her two oldest sons, Lawrence D. Roach and Kenneth E. Roach; sister, Gertrude P. Harris; brothers, Robert Roach, William Roach and James Hairston, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Tony Roach (Geraldine), Sandra Roach, Timothy Roach, Gregory Roach (Serena), Larry Roach, Anna Roach and Kevin Roach; sisters, Elizabeth Harrison and Jean DeJournette.

Her main job was the care of her nine children; grandchildren: Monique, Adrienne, Shaundra, Brandy, Reaundra and Savannah; great-grandchildren; daughters-in-love, Darlene Roach, Sabrina Roach, Lavita Roach and Jacqueline Lewis; family-in-love, The Lucius Family: Frank Sr., Frances, Frank Jr., McBee and Anne Marshall; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
