Mr. Paul W. Ashe passed on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.  Funeral will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 2:00 at McLaurin Memorial Chapel with family visitation one half hour prior to the service.  Public viewing will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 12 - 7 p.m.  Burial will be held on Old St. Mariah Holiness Church Cemetery.

Paul was born on April 6, 1957 to the late Rev. Eva Farrish Ashe and James Valentine Ashe. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January, 27, 2020.

Paul was raised alongside his siblings in Reidsville, North Carolina where he attended the local public schools and later earned certification to drive trucks.

In his best years, Paul married his wife, Betty on December 8, 1979 and together they raised two children. As a loving and devoted man, Paul got his best joy from his family and he loved nothing more than "his babies."

During the day, you could catch Paul doing what he knew best and something he was so very proud of……tree service. "Ashe Tree Service" was his pride and joy, only second to his grandkids.

Paul was a man of his word and as he always used to say "I keeps it real!" He was a longtime member of the Fellows Club and was always out to please. If anyone would ever doubt he'd often say, "What's my name? My name is Paul Ashe"!

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by: brother; John Leroy Ashe.

Today Paul leaves behind to cherish precious memories: Wife; Betty, son; Brandon (Brittney) daughter; Brittany (Chris), grandkids; Landon, Aniyah, Jaylin, CJ, Candon, Caleb, Aric, brothers; James "Lee"(Barbara), Joseph (Jeanette), sisters; Lillian (George), Sue (Billy), Sarah (Jimmy), Martha (late James), Bessie (William), Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.
