Our beloved, mother, sister and aunt was born October 19, 1952 to Hulene Blackwell-Totten and the late Gordon Totten. As a native of Reidsville, North Carolina she was a resident of Newport News Virginia for over 30 years. She attended local public schools and furthered her education at Rockingham Community College. She was baptised at an early age under the leadership of Reverend AC Hill at Shiloh Baptist Church. She continued her spiritual walk as a member of World Harvest Kingdom Church in Newport News, Virginia. Patricia was a retired employee of the Disabled American Veterans Thrift Store.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by: her husband; Thomas Fitzgerald, one sister; Earline, 3 brothers; Edward, Marvin and Greg, nephews; Shaun and Kaiden.
Family and Friends knew her by many names Crickett, Trish, Pat or Patricia and she leaves a legacy of love and memories for us all to share. We are grateful for her "A" personality as she would say "Always at Home" and her precious memories to forever cherish.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter; Tina Swilling and her son; Curtis Rucker Jr of Newport News, Virginia; 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, mother; Hulene Totten of Reidsville NC, brothers; William (Nettie), Ernest, Jerry, Johnny (Wanda) and Tony of Reidsville NC, George Totten of Sacramento CA; sisters; Elder Catherine Wilson, and Linda Johnson (Robert) both of Reidsville NC; one aunt; Shirley Graves (Ernest) and uncle; Sammuel Blackwell (Lena) numerous nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and cherished friends.
