Obituary

Patricia Gail Lane DeJournette, 64, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Pastor William C. Hairston will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, 1004 Montgomery Street, Reidsville, NC.

Public viewing Friday, June 2, 2023 from 12 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Patricia was born on February 18, 1959 in Rockingham County to the late Lawyer Lane and Littie Marion Harrison Lane. She was the seventh born of their eleven children and was a 1977 graduate of Bethany High School. She worked at Burlington Mills for a number of years and was a CNA for over 20 years. A member of Shiloh Baptist Church, she served on the Usher Board, Kitchen Committee, Crisis Committee, Beautification Committee, Fellowship Choir and Financial Secretary for a number of years. She was an avid Steeler fan, loved the color blue and butterflies.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Bradley Eugene DeJournette; sister, Cecelia Pass; brother, Lawyer Earl Lane Sr.; niece, LaTwanya Speller; nephew, Ivey Lane and great nieces, Shayla and Kayla Goods.

She leaves behind husband William DeJournette; sisters, Marie Williamson, Debra Russell (James), Birdie Pass, Janie Mullins (Henry), Christine Lane and Kippi King; brothers, Rev. Lawrence Lane (Deborah), Raye Lane (Deborah); brother-in-law, Frank Pass; nieces, Susan Ross, Tameka Goods (Daryl), Tameka Haynes (Lamar), Tressie Walls; nephews, David Pass, Anthony Slade, James Neal Jr., Chris Lane, EJ Lane, Jr., and Zackary Simpson, Jr., geat-nieces, Jakera Pass, TiYana Thomas, Jiriyah Thomas, LaPrincess McEachern, Leia Lane and Tristan Haynes; great-nephews, David Pass, Jr., JaTee' Thomas, JaTwan, DionTre and Joshua Speller, TJ & Marcus Slade and Tyshaun Adams; great-great niece, Royalti Thomas-Sweeney; great-great nephew, Isiah McEachern; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and treasured friends.
