Opal "Nance" Brown Abbott was called home on Thursday October 26, 2017 at Annie Penn Hospital.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service. Public viewing will Saturday, 11:00 p.m. until 7:oo p.m.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Opal was born August 24, 1933 to the late John A. Brown and Rosa H. Brown. She was a member of Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church.
Opal was employed at Fieldcrest Mills for many years; she later received her CNA Certification and worked for Shipman's Home Care, where she retired.
She is preceded in death by sister; Barbara Ann Russell.
Opal leaves behind many fond memories and cherished family, husband of 62 years; Samuel L. Abbott of the home,
one son; Forrest Kent Abbott of the home, one brother; Fredrick L. Brown (Gladys), Pelham, NC, two grandchildren; Darrian J.Abbott, Pelham, NC, Tiffany R. Abbott, Reidsville, NC, four great grandchildren; Jashon, Ayden and Malachi (Tiffany), Josiah (Darrian), special great nephew; Patrick Walters, Pelham, NC, cousin other relatives and friends.
