Odessa Mae
Bolden
Jul 11, 1954 — Jun 14, 2026
GREENSBORO, NC - Ms. Odessa Mae Bolden, age 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 11 a.m. from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
All other times, the family will receive friends daily from 3 until 7 p.m. at the home of her sister, "Mary Jane" - 213 Catherine Lane, Reidsville, NC.
Odessa Mae Bolden was born on July 11, 1954, to the late Robert Spencer Bolden and Catherine Moore Bolden. She earned her wings on June 14, 2026.
She attended Reidsville Senior High School, and her last job in the workforce was with Polo Ralph Lauren in High Point, North Carolina. Odessa loved the Lord. She attended Tabernacle of Praise Deliverance Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. Her previous church home was Smyrna Church of Christ in Reidsville, North Carolina.
She enjoyed cooking and decorating her home with sunflowers and angels, but most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She always had a smile on her face, and if you knew her, you knew it came straight from her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Catherine Bolden; her sister, Doris Bolden Randolph; and her brothers, Robert Earl Bolden, Melvin "Pop" Bolden, Clarence Bolden, and Larry Bolden. She will be missed, but in God's loving arms we will find comfort.
Here to cherish many wonderful memories of Odessa are her son, Dwayne Bolden of Greensboro, North Carolina; six grandchildren; her brother, James "Eddie" Bolden (Mary) of Reidsville, North Carolina; her sisters, Mary Jane Bolden of Reidsville, North Carolina, and Brenda Gwynn (Carl) of Reidsville, North Carolina; her sisters-in-law, Paula (Paulette), Joni, and Carolyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Her wings were ready, but out hearts were not.
