Nancy Harden Galloway was born on May 4, 1944 in Reidsville, North Carolina to the late Vernor and Ruth Harden. She married the late William David Galloway, Sr. and they spent many years traveling abroad with their children as he served in the Armed Forces.  Later, she returned to the States, and she was employed in several textile industries.  After many years of faithful service, she retired from The Friends Home Guilford Retirement Living Center.

Nancy loved the Lord, and at an early age, she joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she served faithfully.  Later, she joined Beulah Baptist Church in Madison, NC, to continue her work for the Lord and to be with her daughter.  She continued to serve in many capacities until her health prevented her from attending services, but her love for the Lord never ceased.

One of her ministries was crocheting blankets, which she joyfully gave to so many.  She often stated that God blessed her hands, so that she could be a blessing to others.

She loved softball, and was an excellent ballplayer in her younger years.  She dearly loved spending time with her family and was a phenomenal cook - everybody was invited to her table.  And, her sense of humor would always catch you off guard.   A member of "That's What Friends Are For", she spent countless hours at "just because cookouts" and special birthdays and holidays with her friends, who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Deborah Ann Williamson and William Alfred Harden, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are:  daughter, Beverly Stewart (Kim),of Reidsville, NC; son, William David Galloway, Jr. (Toy), of Manassas, VA; grandchildren, Keith Yujuan Mitchell (Patricia), Lakeya Michelle Moore, Kiana Melika Galloway, Quintin Stewart, Omar Stewart (Victoria), Michaiah Watlington and Kabriya Watlington; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Stella Brown, of Bronx, NY, Valerie Doggett (Sam), of Reidsville, NC, Joan Slade, Pamela Henderson and Jala Harden, all of Greensboro, NC;  sisters- and brothers-in-law, Teddy Galloway, of Temple Hills, MD, Edith Moore (Rev.
