REIDSVILLE, NC - Minister Barbara Graves Lennon, age 74, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, June 7, 2026 from the Elm Grove Baptist Church, 1302 US-29 Business, Reidsville, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 12 p.m., followed by the service at 12:30 p.m. Pastor C. Bradley Hunt, II will serve as eulogist.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend whose strength, unwavering convictions, and fierce love for her family touched the lives of many. Her faith, resilience, creativity, and unforgettable spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Israel Moore Lennon, Sr.; her daughter, Devonus Yellock (Wallace); her sons, Israel M. Lennon, Jr. (Tina) and Geoffrey Lennon (Yvette); her treasured grandchildren, Kimel Lennon and Kimayah Lennon; her beloved goddaughter, Alexus Monsanto; and her cherished furbaby, Lala.

She is also survived by her siblings, Howard Graves (Hester) of Raeford, North Carolina; Odell Graves of Madison, North Carolina; Duree Pettress of California; and Walter Graves of Greensboro, North Carolina,along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Walter L. Graves and Cecil Blackwell Graves, and her brothers, Timothy Graves and Larry Graves.
