Reflection of Life

Mildred Elaine Williams Totten, was called to eternal rest on Thursday, July 12, 2018. Daughter of the late Pete and Pearl Williams, born October 25, 1937 in Caswell County.

She graduate from Caswell County Training School in Yanceyville, N.C. in 1955. Mildred was join in holy matrimony to the late James Totten, Sr., with three children from that union: Shelby, Kathy and James, Jr. She retired from Macfield Textile now Unifi after over thirty plus years.

She was a faithful member of Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church and devoted over 20 years serving as secretary for the Usher Board. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, James Totten, Sr. and parents, Pete and Pearl Williams, four sisters, Eliza Watlington, Mary Tucker, Mattie Mitchell and Alice Comer, and one brother, Wilbert Williams, Sr.

She leave to cherish her memories: daughters Shelby (Wayne) Abbott, Kathy (Larry) Johnson; son; James Totten, Jr.; grandchildren, Kevin Coleman, Daylan Totten, Brittny Abbott, Larry Johnson, Lenece Johnson; one great-grandson, Kayden Coleman; brother, Wiley Williams; sisters, Dollie Dodd, Gladys (John) Doe, and Pearl Withett; three sisters-in-law, Darlene (Alvis) Clark, Gail Holloway and Kimberly Williams, Newport News, VA; a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. Special thanks to two special nieces, Pearlie Ferrell and Hazel Apple.
