Pelham-Mrs. Mary Angela Stokes departed this life on Saturday morning, January 10, 2015 at Avante of Reidsville, while surrounded by her family. She was born July 16, 1949 to the late Mary Ellen Dockery and Herbert Meeks.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church with a visitation 1:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Bluestone Church Cemetery.

"Angie" as she was affectionately called, graduated from Morehead High School in Eden, North Carolina. She worked for Hanes Brands for 10 years. Angie was united in holy matrimony to Lorenzo E. Stokes and to this union three children were born, one of which preceded her in death.

She will be sincerely missed by her loved ones and friends.

Angie leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of the home; Lorenzo E. Stokes, two sons; Mr. Jamie Stokes, Greensboro, NC, Mr. Eddie Stokes Pelham, NC, brother; Timothy Dockery (Vickie), Eden, NC, "Like a sister", in-law; Patricia P. Strange, Cascade, Va., eight grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
