Ms. Marian Denease Harden entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, North Carolina. Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, January 29. 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at McLaurin Memorial Chapel, 721 E. Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC with burial in Greenview Cemetery. Family visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service. Public visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Marian Denease Walker Harden was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on August 18,1956 to the late Marion Worth Walker and the late MaryAnn Motley McCain and moved to Reidsville, North Carolina with her family as a young child. She graduated from Reidsville High School In 1974 and began pursuing a degree in Secretarial Science, Accounting and Bookkeeping. Aside from raising her one and only son Jermaine, she began working for the United States Postal Service in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she remained employed for more than 34 years, until her health declined.
Marian had such a huge and giving heart. She enjoyed watching movies and spending time with family.
Those left to cherish precious memories are: son, Leon Jermaine Walker (Tina); grandchildren, Jermaine Walker, Jamari Walker, Janya Walker and Justice Johnson; great grandchild, Luke Johnson Carter; sisters, Mary Donnetta Walker, Cheryl Walker (James), and Shelley Walker Brim (George); nieces and nephews, Katrina G Harrison, Krystal Galloway (Vernon), Dilisa Walker, and James Galloway, Jr.; great nieces, Kamya Mills, Kennedie Mills, and Sarai Walker; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Ashton and Yolanda McLaurin and the staff of the McLaurin Funeral Home are serving the family. C ovid-19 precautions will be followed with social distancing, masks and sanitizing required.
