Mae Alice was born February 8, 1946 to the late Elijah M. Galloway and Alice Fannie Wilson of Reidsville, NC. She loved her family with every ounce of her being.

Mae worked for Rockingham County School System as a Bus Driver for 30 plus years. She was also a member of the E&A Galloway singers, worked on the usher board and sung in the choir at Chapel Hill Church.

Mae and Ernest (Levi) Cannon Sr. was united in marriage 54 years ago and to that marriage they were blessed with three sons: Ernest Cannon Jr., Raymond Cannon and Steven Cannon (Tammy). Three granddaughters Raha, Deshantae', and Charity. Two grandsons: Tyree and Justin Cannon. One godson Christopher Carter. Two great granddaughters Jordann and Ambriah.

She was proceeded in death by: Mr. & Mrs. Elijah M. Galloway, Sr.; Brothers: John C. Galloway (Doris); Elijah M Galloway Jr. (Lucille); George Galloway (Barbara); William Galloway all of Reidsville, NC. The surviving siblings are: Franklin Galloway (Martha) of Detroit, MI., James Dickerson (Wyvonne) of Reidsville, NC, David Galloway of Greensboro, NC, Otis Galloway (Betty) of Reidsville, NC, Rosetta Carter (Lorenzo) of Reidsville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service.
Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church.
Public viewing will be Friday, 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McLaurin Funeral Home.
