Mrs. Mable Totten Williamson was born February 16, 1924 to the late Rosabell Stadler Totten in Caswell County, North Carolina. She passed away early on Wednesday morning, May 2, 2012 at her residence in Ruffin, North Carolina.
Funeral services will 2:00 P.M. Saturday, may 5, 2012 at New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church, with a visitation 1:30-2:00P.M. prior to the service. H. Donald Coletrane is the Pastor, Dr. George H. Pickard will officiate and Rev. Tommy Williamson will bring the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
As a native and lifelong resident of Caswell County, she attended the New Ephesus Training School. Early in life, she accepted Christ, was baptized, and joined the New Ephesus Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member. She was a homemaker and a farmer for many years.
Mable was a pleasant and helpful person, who enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Mable always had a kind word for all who knew her. A caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; she was genuinely concerned about her family and friends. She was well-known and well-liked throughout the community. Her love and thoughtfulness will serve as an inspiration to those of all who knew and loved her.
Including her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband; Elmer Williamson, Sr., sons; Charles Ray Williamson and Elmer "Tail" Williamson, Jr., daughters; Queenie Bell Blackwell and Willie Mae Williamson.
She leaves to cheerish her memory: daughters; Mrs. Annie W. Bowden (Royzell) of Reidsville, NC, Ms Margaret Lousie Williamson, and Mrs. Christine Williamson both of the home, sister; Mrs. Bessie T Sheff of Brooklyn, New York, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild, sisters-in-law; Mrs. Jennie S. Totten, Mrs. Elizabeth P. Totten, Mrs. Mary W. Jones and Mrs. Lona Mae Williamson and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
