Mrs. Minnie Lucille Hooper passed on Monday morning, December 28, 2020 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, North Carolina.  Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Grooms Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m.  Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at McLaurin Memorial Chapel from 1:00 until 5 p.m.

Lucille Hooper was born on June 23, 1926 to the late James and Harriet Hooper and departed this life on December 28, 2020.  In addition to her parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

At an early age, she joined Grooms Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful and dedicated member until her health declined.  She was educated in the public school system of Rockingham County, attending school at Rocky Ridge School.

She was a loving mother and a caring and kind-hearted person by nature.  She often enjoyed telling stories about the farm on Grooms Road that she grew up on.  She was also employed at the V.A. Hospital in New York for many years.  She will always be loved and truly missed.

Those left to cherish precious memories are:  one son, Ronald Hooper (Jeanette), of Reidsville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
