Obituary

Mrs. Lucy Mae Watlington Graves departed her earthly home on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Brian Center, Yanceyville, NC.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 23, 2016 at New Ephesus Baptist Church with a visitation 1:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will take place in the New Ephesus Church Cemetery.
Lucy was born on June 6, 1933 in Caswell County to the late Lindsay and Nannie Bet Badgett Watlington. She was a former resident of 2090 Wagonwheel Road, Reidsville, NC.
Lucy joined New Ephesus Baptist Church at an early age and attended school there as well. She was a homemaker and worked on the missionary committee and hospitality committee until her health declined. Lucy was a humble, gentle person who never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Marvin Webster Graves Sr., granddaughter; Alicia Gail Weatherford, step-daughter; Mary Frances Jones, three sisters and three brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters; Bettie Burnette, Lillie Swann (Jerry), Alberta Blackwell (Edward), Teresa Winstead (Michael), Alfreda Corbett (Marshall) all of Reidsville, NC, Marvel Weatherford (Oliver) Yanceyville, NC, Fannie Jackson (Allen), Sanford, NC, son; Marvin Webster Graves, Jr., step-son; John Watlington (Charlene), Pelham, NC, brother, Julius Watlington (Garrie), Ruffin, NC, son-in-law; James Jones, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
