Mrs. Louise Settle Brown's Obituary
On Monday, April 13, 2015, Mrs. Louise Settle Brown peacefully made her transition into life everlasting and Christian victory was declared.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Grooms Missionary Baptist Church with a visitation 2:30-3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Elder kevin Sturdivant, pastor, will bring the eulogy and Rev. Tommy Williamson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Grooms Church Cemetery.
Louise was born on September 1, 1924 to the late Thomas and Junnie Mae Settle. As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, "Big Sis" as she was affectionately known was loved by many. She enjoyed working in her flowers and canning in the Summer time, making those good old fashion pies. She will surely be missed.
She was a faithful member of Grooms Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Pastor's Aide for many years until her health declined.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Louise leaves to cherish her memories: Special niece; Carolyn S. Jones, sister-in-law; Louise C. Settle, brother-in-law; Mack Settle Sr. all of Reidsville, NC and a host of Nieces, Nephews and a multitude of treasured friends.
