Leroy (Roy) Davis was born July 5, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and passed away to his eternal rest on Thursday, March 2, 2017.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with a visitation 12:30 P.M. prior to the service. Public viewing Monday, 12:00 Noon-7:00 P.M.

Leroy was the son of the late Elliot Davis Sr., and Gloria Steward Davis. He was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at New Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church at an early age.

Leroy attended the local schools and graduated from Leon Goduhanx High School, and furthered his education by attending Grams Mechanical School in East Brunswick, NJ.

Leroy loved to cook and often delighted his family and friends with Gumbo and other New Orleans cuisines.

His faith in God was manifested when he moved to Reidsville NC and joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a member of the United Methodist Men.

He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Ruth Moore Davis, two brothers, Stanely and Calvin Davis of Lutcher, La., three sisters, Lillie Mae Thomas of Edgar, La., Deloris Anderson (Johnell) of Garyville, La. And Carolyn Wesley of Austin Texas, two brother-in-law's, Charles Moore, and Samuel Moore (Brenda) of Reidsville NC, one sister-in- law, Richetta Armstrong of Reidsville, special god-child Uchenna Armstrong of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
