Mr. Leon Lawson departed this life Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He was born August 6, 1936 to the late Mozella Maynard Lawson and the late Robert Glenn Lawson.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church of God Inc., Reidsville, NC with a visitation 12:30-1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Leon was formally employed with the City of Reidsville Police Department in the Detective Division. He was a dedicated member of Benaja Mount Zion Holiness Church of God Inc., Reidsville, NC. Leon also served in the United States Army and was a member of Lone Star Lodge #33 PHA.

Leon was preceded in death by granddaughter; Terronda M. Rucker, sister; Beatrice Wilson, brothers; Robert Lawson Jr. and Glenn Lawson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters; Beverly Lawson Rucker(George), Reidsville, NC, Vickie Lawson(Clint), Gibsonville, NC, Son; Leon Lawson Jr.(Domonique) Sister; Hattie Jeffers, Sister-in-law; Inez Lawson, God sons; Michael Gonzales and David Taylor, three grandchildren; Anthony Rucker, Shannon Staley and Shawn Lawson, four great grandchildren; Aronderly Rucker, Mario Moore Jr., Cierra Doggett, Aeriana Lawson, ex-wives; Kathleen Lawson and Marion Sutton, special friend; Sharon Scales, a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives and friends.
