Mr. Larry Bernard Sawyer, 76, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at his residence.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 3 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, North Carolina. Reverend Timothy Simmons, pastor of New Horizon Baptist Church, High Point, North Carolina will officiate. Elder Godwin Mitchell, pastor of East Market Street Seventh-day Adventist Church, Greensboro, North Carolina will deliver the words of comfort.

He was born in Guilford County, North Carolina on August 3, 1946 to Walter George Sawyer, Sr., and Lula Mae Brown Sawyer.

He attended Mt. Zion, James B. Dudley Senior High and later earned his high school diploma through a Greensboro City Operated Adult Education Program.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter George Sawyer, Jr., and his brother-in-law, Herbert Stinson.

Survivors include his sister, Elder Beverly Sawyer Kinsey (Reginald); brother, Ernest Edward Sawyer; half-sister, Willie Lee Stinson; nephew, Shawn Byron Sawyer; great-nephews, Ya'Qway and D'Marko; great-nieces, Korina, Korian, Cameron, and Morgan; great-great nephew, Mason; a host of relatives and friends.
