GREENSBORO - Ms. Kristin Ann King, age 44, formerly of Reidsville, NC passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Guilford Health Care Center in Greensboro, NC.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 1 until 3 p.m. at The Refuge Greensboro, 3008 E. Bessemer Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 3 p.m. from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will take place at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Amy Wilkerson will officiate and Pastor Darlene Allen, eulogist.

A balloon release will immediately follow.

Our beloved sister, aunt, and friend, Kristin Ann King, was born April 7, 1981, in Rockingham County, NC to the late Alongi Bell Reid King and Hubert King. As a native of Rockingham County, NC, Kristin attended the local public schools and touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unforgettable spirit.

Kristin never met a stranger—she had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. Her ability to connect with people was a gift, and her heart was always open to those around her. Though she had no children of her own, Kristin was a devoted and loving aunt who cherished her nieces and nephews deeply. She always remembered their birthdays, celebrated their milestones, and gave from the heart—even gifting a special Easter basket to her niece Ava this past Easter, a memory that will live on in our hearts.

Kristin's life was marked by quiet strength. Though she battled illness throughout her life, she carried herself with tenacity and resilience. If there's one word to describe Kristin, it is love. She forgave easily, held no grudges, and lived with an open heart. She taught us all how to be more compassionate, more understanding, and more present.

Kristin will be remembered for her laughter, her loyalty, her artistic spark for painting, music, and the light she brought into every room.

Saturday morning, August 2, 2025, Kristin peacefully exchanged her earthly vessel for a new home in glory.

Along with her parents, Kristin was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Henry and Leila Reid; paternal grandparents Francis King and Eddie Martin and a beloved brother, Ron Mitchell, Sr.

Her cherished memories will live in the hearts of her brothers: Kevin Hubert (Chiara) King, and Kenton Albert King all of Greensboro, NC; nephew: Ron Mitchell, Jr.; 5 nieces Tymesia Miller, Jada King, Paris King, Maya King and Ava King; great-aunt: Juanita King; aunts: Andrea Martin; Lula King, Marchia Reid, Louise Reid; uncles: Bob Galloway, Jimmy Ray Galloway, Wayne Martin, Eddie Martin and William Henry Reid; She is also survived by a special niece and 3 special nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends whose lives are better for having known her.

While our family is still coming to terms with this sudden loss, we find comfort in knowing Kristin is at peace. You are forever loved beyond words and already missed beyond measure.
