Obituary

Mr. Kenneth Eugene Roach, age 68, transitioned from this earthly place on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Specialty Hospital of Durham, NC.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at Lea Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.

A local memorial service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will begin at 2 p.m.

Inurnment will follow in the family plot of Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

Kenneth was born to Pearly Mae Roach on June 8,1955 in Rockingham County North Carolina. Kenny enjoyed family, friends, reading, sports and the love of God.

He was a graduate of the class of 1973 of Reidsville Senior High School and he furthered his education at NC A&T University. After college, Kenny retired from the North Carolina State Correctional Prison System. He joined in union with his devoted wife, Darlene Pugh Roach in May of 1989.

Kenny was preceded in death by his older brother Lawrence Roach.

To cherish his memories, he leaves behind: his wife, Darlene Roach of Garner NC; mother, Pearly Mae Roach of Reidsville NC, brothers, Tony Roach (Geraldine) of Rocky Mount NC, Timothy Roach of Georgia, Gregory Roach (Serena) of Greensboro NC, Larry Roach of High Point NC, Kevin Roach of Fredericksburg VA; sisters Sandra Roach of Greensboro NC and Anna Roach of Reidsville NC; brothers-in law Reverend James L. Pugh (Sherrill), Jerry Pugh (Debbie); sisters-in-law, Flora Louise Braswell (Daniel), Constance Dunston, Jacqueline Lewis and Sabrina Roach of Reidsville NC and Lavita Roach of Warsaw Virginia; aunts, Elizabeth Stokes of Reidsville NC and Jean DeJournette of Eden NC; a host of nieces, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.
