Kay F. Wagstaff Key quietly and peacefully went to be with the LORD early Thursday morning, November 13, 2014.

She was the only child of James and Leatha Graves Wagstaff, born February 12, 1935. Kay was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and educator.

She leaves behind her daughters Sandra Gant-Satterfield and Leatha Renee Key-Alston of Burlington. Grandchildren Melanie Key, Belinda and Brandi Gant, James and Jimmy Allen and eight great grandchildren. Preceding her in death in 2011 was her middle daughter Dana Franchester Key.

A Celebration of Life and Lessons Learned will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Blackwell Funeral Home Chapel at 1292 Rauhut Street, Burlington, North Carolina. Visitation with the family and viewing will begin at 10:30 AM before the funeral.
Special thanks to cousin Blanche Summers and Carlotta Rudd for special care, love and companionship. Additionally, much appreciation to the care team of Hospice of Alamance & Caswell, and Nurses Tina Wrenn and Kim Miles who were former students at Pleasant Grove Elementary School.
