Ms. Katina Withers Duncan passed on Friday, January 22, 2021 in Reidsville, North Carolina.  Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Elm Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, U.S. Business 29, Reidsville, NC.  Public viewing will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. at McLaurin Memorial Chapel.

Katina Dawn Withers Duncan was born October 19, 1972 in Reidsville North Carolina to Patricia A. Withers and the late Homer A. Williams.  After a long period of illness, our Heavenly Father saw fit to heal her body here on earth.  Four days prior to Katina peacefully departing this life on January 22, 2021 at her home, she enjoyed eating without problems as never before.

Katina joined Elm Grove Baptist Church at an early age and loved lifting up Jesus.  Katina served several ministries in her endeavors to help build the kingdom of God.  New Life United Holy Church in Eden NC, Greater Destiny World Ministries in Greensboro NC, Deliverance Youth Ensemble, Spirit Led, and Majesty were other ministries she loved to support.

"Tina" as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was a God-Fearing young lady and outspoken with positivity.  Everyone that knew her sang the same song about her. Tina was a sweetheart kind of soul, loved by all.

Tina attended Reidsville City Schools, graduating with the Reidsville High School Class of 1991 and she attended Rockingham Community College.

Tina worked diligently serving her community.  She was employed by Hardee's of Reidsville, Bass Kiddie Care, Rockingham Opportunities Corporation (Residential Services and Day Center), New Laundry of Reidsville, and Short Orders Restaurant of Reidsville.

In addition to her father, Katina was preceded in death by her brother, Dwayne Foote; grandparents, Edna Powell Withers, William L. Withers, Homer Williams and Lucy Maroney; and uncle, Fredrick William Withers.

She leaves to mourn a beloved son, Dominique Rashaad Duncan (Rebecca), of Roanoke, VA; granddaughter, Aria Elizabeth Duncan of Roanoke, VA; mother, Patricia Withers Fountain of the home; stepfather, Berley Fountain Jr., of Reidsville NC; brother, Cordane JaHaun Fountain, of the home; aunt, Velma Withers Davis, of Reidsville NC;  uncles, Gerald L. Withers, of Reidsville NC, Travis Miller, of Greensboro NC, and Anthony "Tony" Slade of New York;  great aunts, Elsie P. Cobb, of Reidsville NC and Lena W. McDaniel of Eden NC;  great uncle, Garfield Withers (Lydia), of Reidsville NC; and a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
